Getting started

Setup guide

Build your first size chart and see it live on a product page. It takes about five minutes if you start from a template.

Important: Before you start, make sure you've enabled the app embed and added the Size chart block to your product template. Without both, charts are saved but won't appear on your storefront.

Step 1 — Pick a template

  1. In the app, go to Size charts and click Create size chart.
  2. Choose a template that matches what you sell, or Blank chart under Start from scratch.

Templates come with a heading, a measurement table and, for most clothing, how-to-measure notes. Everything in them is editable — they're a starting point, not a fixed layout.

Clothing

  • Women's tops — XS–XXL with US sizes, bust, waist and hip in inches and cm, plus how to measure.
  • Men's shirts — S–XXL with neck, chest, waist and sleeve in inches and cm, plus how to measure.
  • Dresses — XS–XXL with US sizes, bust, waist and hip in inches and cm, plus how to measure.
  • Coats and jackets — S–XXL with chest, waist and sleeve in inches and cm, plus layering advice.
  • Trousers and jeans — Sizes 28–38 with waist and hip, plus leg lengths, in inches and cm.
  • Kids' clothing — Ages 2–8 with height, chest and waist in inches and cm, plus how to measure.

Footwear

  • Adult footwear — Men's and women's US, UK and EU sizes with foot length in inches and cm.
  • Kids' shoes — US, UK and EU sizes with foot length and approximate age.

Jewellery and accessories

  • Ring sizes — US, UK and EU ring sizes with inside diameter and circumference.
  • Bracelets — XS–XL with wrist and bracelet length in inches and cm, plus how to measure.
  • Hats and caps — S–XL with fitted hat sizes and head circumference in inches and cm.
  • Belts — S–XXL with trouser waist and belt size in inches and cm, plus how to measure.
Tip: Templates use standard industry sizing. Always check them against your own garments or supplier specs before going live — your shoppers will trust the numbers.

Step 2 — Name the chart

Give it a name under Chart name, such as "Women's tops" or "Summer dresses". Only you see this — it's how you find the chart in your list. Shoppers see the product's own name at the top of the popup.

Step 3 — Edit the content

Under Content, click into any element to edit it:

  • Tables work like a spreadsheet — click a cell and type, use the arrow keys to move, and paste straight from Excel or Google Sheets. Right-click a cell to add or remove rows and columns.
  • Add element below the content adds headings, text, images, galleries, videos and dividers.
  • Drag the handle on any element to reorder it, or use the up and down arrows.

The Live preview updates as you type. Switch between desktop and mobile to check how a wide table behaves on a phone. Full details are in the Chart editor reference.

Step 4 — Choose where it shows

Under Applies to, answer Which products show this chart?

  • All products — every product in your store.
  • Specific products — pick products one by one.
  • Specific collections — every product in the collections you pick.

You can combine levels across charts: for example a general clothing chart for All products, a footwear chart for your Shoes collection, and a special chart for one oversized jacket. See which chart shows where below.

Step 5 — Make it active and save

  1. Under Status, choose Active. Leave it on Draft if you're not ready — drafts are saved but never shown to shoppers.
  2. Click Save in the bar at the top of the page. The app writes the chart onto every product it applies to. On a large catalogue with All products, this can take a few moments.

Step 6 — Check it on your store

Open one of the products on your storefront. You'll see the Size chart link (or button) where you placed the block — click it to open the chart. Not showing? Go through the chart not showing checklist.

Which chart shows where

Each product shows at most one chart. When several active charts could apply, the most specific one wins:

  1. A chart that lists the product under Specific products
  2. …beats a chart that reaches it through Specific collections
  3. …which beats the All products chart.

If a product is in two collections that each have their own chart, the chart you updated most recently is shown.

To keep this predictable, a few combinations aren't allowed:

  • Only one active chart can apply to All products.
  • A product can be in only one active product-level chart.
  • A collection can be in only one active collection-level chart.

If you try to save one of these, the app tells you which chart already has that product or collection. Either remove it from the other chart first, or save the new one as a draft.

Keeping charts up to date

A chart is copied onto its products when you save it, and kept up to date after that:

  • Editing a chart updates every product it's on as soon as you save.
  • Changing Appearance updates every active chart automatically.
  • New products — added to your store, or to a collection a chart targets — pick up their chart automatically, usually within a minute.
Tip: If a new product still has no chart after a few minutes, open the chart that should apply and click Save. That updates every product it applies to.
